http://www.emeraldcoast.com/community/navarre/military/hurlburt.asp

Hurlburt Field is the home of Air Force Special Operations.

"Any Time...Any Place" is the motto of the 16th Special Operations Wing, the host unit at Hurlburt Field. As key players in such military contingencies as the capture of Manuel Noriega in Panama, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Provide Hope in Somalia, Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti...”

“USAF use of psychotronics:
http://www.raven1.net/commsolo.htm

USAF COMMANDO SOLO: AERIAL MIND CONTROL BROADCASTS

The United States Air Force uses aerial mind-control broadcasts against
civilian population as well as enemy troops. Some of these actions against
civilians are done with the intent of influencing public opinion and the
outcome of elections.

In a previous article, we examined mind-control technology, especially that
utilizing Silent Sound [TM], in which radio-frequency broadcasts carry
subliminal patterns that entrain the listener's brainwaves into a pre-
selected emotional state. According to ITV wire service reports, this
technology was used during Operation Desert Storm in 1991, as part of the
US Psychological Operations (PsyOps) directed against Iraqi troops. [1,2]

To the Desert Storm offensive we can now add several other incidents.
Alex Horvat, editor of The Probe, calls to our attention the 1998
video, Exotic Weapons of Mass Control, produced by Bob Fletcher.

"The excerpt played on Fletcher's video is from TLC (The Learning Channel)
and clearly states that Commando Solo was used in Haiti for what was called
Operation Uphold Democracy. As the general populace was violently
opposed to Aristide and most in favor of his ouster, it took nearly a year
of this clandestine counter-programming to get them to change their minds.
Instead of butchering a population physically, we can no manipulate them
mentally, virtually enslaving their thoughts with a criss-cross pattern
of flights by an EC-130 (which is just a C-130 heavily laden with electron-
ic hardware.) [3]”

Comments from Ingo Swann
1 December 1995

...There is one difference, though. This regards the "spin" being loaded
into today's media frenzy. This spin is different from the more factual one
of the 1970s. To understand it requires a little background data.

Between 1969 and 1971, American intelligence sources began discoverng and
confirming that the Soviet Union was deeply engaged in so-called "psychic
research." By 1970, it was discovered that the Soviets were spending
approximately 60 million rubles per year on it, and over 300 million by
1975. However, the Soviets were not conducting research into what the West
means by "psychic research. " The term for their general concept of the
research was "psychotronics. "

This was a Soviet neologism, and Engiish has no near equivalent. So
reporters glibly assumed that psychotronics and psychic stuff amounted to
the same thing.

A clarification is therefore necessary. The nearest English equivalent is
"mind (psycho) energy applications (-tronics)," with emphasis on
"applications."

The new English equivaient became "psychoenergetics," but which term does
not convey "applications." "Applied psychoenergetics" would be more
accurate.

The amount of money and personnel involved in the Soviet psychotronics
clearly confirmed that they were serious about it and had ALREADY achieved
breakthroughs which justified the increases in expenditures and tightest
security.

American intelligence analysts were appalled and embarrassed that the
Soviets, (KGB and GRU), were involved in topics considered in the U.S.A. as
speculative, controversial and fringy. But they were alarmed at the
prospect that the Soviets would "get ahead." And so the phrase the "psychic
warfare gap" came into existence.

The inteIIigence community was weIl aware that "psychotronics" meant an
"applied" something, something psychically aggressive with real
applications, something threatening to the well-being and security of the
American nation.

In response to this, and with Congressional approval to do so, the
intelligence community then involved itself with researching this threat --
the threat analysis of Soviet applied psychotronics. It is, after all, the
established and expected DUTY of the intelligence community to examine and
research all threats to the security of the nation.

http://www.crviewer.com/crviewer/crvpage/news/xairrpt1.htm

...To accomplish its three-fold mission, STAR GATE incorporated two
separate activities. One was an operational unit with government-employed
remote viewers, the purpose of which was to perform training and actual
remote viewing intelligence-gathering sessions in support of customers in
the U.S. intelligence community. The other activity was an ongoing research
program, maintained separately from the operational unit. The research
program resided for several years at SRI-International, but later moved to
another California-based defense contractor, Science Applications
International Corporation (SAIC) under the directorship of Dr. Edwin May in
the later years of the project...

http://www.crviewer.com/crviewer/crvpage/news/xairrpt2.htm

All experiments available for review were conducted over an approximate
ten-year period by Dr. Ed May, who had assumed responsibility for the
experimental side of the remote viewing program at SRI-International in the
mid-1980's after the departure of Dr. Hal Puthoff, who had lead the program
since it's founding in 1971. In the early '90s, May and his experiments
moved to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)...

Experiment 10:
Purpose. An improved version of Experiment 1. An equal number of static and
dynamic targets were employed, no "senders" were used, and all attempts
were done at SAIC in California, instead of from the participants homes, as
was the case with Experiment 1.

Target. Selections from a pool of various photos and video clips.
[Summaries were excerpted from pp. 3-33 to 3-41 of the AIR report.]

...A review of the DIA contracts shows that much of the work performed at
SAIC was indeed specified by the DIA representative.

...As an additional consideration, the SAIC work was a follow- on to
previous research done via a still-classified connection with an agency
which mandated more generalized research. Remote viewing was only one of
several phenomena to be explored. PK, for example, was always of interest
in prior research programs and, as the random number generation experiment
shows, some vestiges of interest may have remained in the SAIC experiments.
This interest in general parapsychology seems to have bled over into the
DIA/SAIC remote viewing research.”

...There was a fair amount of well-structured experimentation at Ft. Meade
in targeting and cuing methods, RV data documentation and analysis,
accessing target details, and so forth. Unfortunately, the operations
activity was kept mostly separate from the research program until after the
1992 transition to STAR GATE, and even then the connection existed
primarily to provide subjects for some of the SAIC experiments. The vast
database from the Ft. Meade unit of thousands of documented sessions--both
training and operational--remains largely unmined

http://www.redshift.com/~damason/lhreport/articles/const1.html

EM mind control machines were championed at SRI by Dr. Karl Pribram,
director of the Neurophychology Research Laboratory: "I certainly could
educate a child by putting an electrode in the lateral hypothalmus and then
selecting the situations at which I stimulate it. In this was I can grossly
change his behavior." Psychology Today touted Pribram as "The Magellan of
Brain Science." He obtained his B.S. and M.D. degrees at the University of
Chicago, and at SRI studied how the brain processes and stores sensory
imagery. He is credited with discovering that mental imaging bears a close
resemblance to hologram projection (the basis for transmitting images to
the brains of test subjects under the misnomer "remote viewing"?).

The SRI/SAIC psi experiments were supervised at Langley by John McMahon,
second in command under William Casey, succeeding Bobby Ray Inman, the SAIC
director. McMahon has, according to Philip Agee, the CIA whistle-blowing
exile, an affinity for "technological exotics for CIA covert actions." He
was recruited by the Agency after his graduation from Holy Cross College.
He is a former director of the Technical Services Division, deputy director
for Operations, and in 1982 McMahon was appointed deputy director of
Central Intelligence. He left the Agency six years later to take the
position of president of the Lockheed Missiles and Space Systems Group. In
1994 he moved on to Draper Laboratories. He is a director of the Defense
Enterprise Fund and an adviser to congressional committees.”

History

Founded in 1873, Bryan Cave’s hallmark has always been the vision to find new and innovative ways to deliver the highest quality service for our clients. This allows us to be a leading international law firm, ranked among the 100 largest firms in the world and one of the 50 largest in the United States. Our practice is built on more than 125 years of solid performance and dedication to our many clients -- a wide array of businesses, financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, government entities and individual clients.

1873
Firm founded as King, Phillips & Stewart in St. Louis, Missouri in a building across the street from the current headquarters office.

1911
Merger results in Stewart, Bryan, Christie & Williams. In 1916, P. Taylor Bryan’s name becomes first in the firm title, where it remains to this day.

1917
Rhodes Cave joins the firm, which then becomes Bryan, Williams & Cave.

1939
Firm takes on as client a "poor Scotsman with just a little ‘bitty’ aviation company" and has served it since its founding. That little company was McDonnell Aircraft Company, now The Boeing Company.

1978
First office outside St. Louis is opened in Washington, DC to enhance growing legislative practice. Offices in Los Angeles and New York follow.

1980
International presence established. Office opened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to handle business transactions in the Middle East. Presence later expanded to U.A.E. and Kuwait.

1982
London office opens.

1987-1988
Expansion to the west and southwest. Firm opens offices in Phoenix and Kansas City.

1993
Firm chosen to represent the Government of Kuwait in the preparation, submission and prosecution of its claims of over $100 billion against the State of Iraq arising out of the invasion and occupation of Kuwait.

1994-1996
Asia presence established in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

1996-1999
Firm lawyers represent WorldCom, Inc. in multiple $100+ million mergers and acquisitions.

1998
Client Bob Costas emcees firm’s 125 year anniversary celebration in nationwide simulcast.

2001
Chicago office opens. Firm, with its diversified national and international practice, now has 17 offices staffed by more than 600 lawyers.

"Jack Danforth is a man of impeccable credentials, a record of integrity, and a determination to get to the truth," said Reno. "Questions have been raised, and he is the perfect person to find the answers."

Danforth, who now practices law at Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis, Missouri, retired from the U.S. Senate in 1994 after representing the State of Missouri for 18 years. Prior to serving in the Senate, Danforth served as Attorney General for Missouri for eight years. He is ordained to the clergy of the Episcopal Church and is associate priest at the Church of the Holy Communion in University City.

http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pr/1999/September/400ag.htm

That's why Andersen turned to "Saint Jack" (a nickname he tolerates from friends and shrugs away the rest of the time), the ordained Episcopalian priest and former three-time Republican U.S. senator from Missouri, to examine a document-retention policy that itself seems to have been shredded as federal investigators close in on the firm's audits of Enron Corp. Danforth, the special prosecutor who investigated charges of an FBI coverup in the fatal Waco, Tex., standoff, will review the company's internal investigation and recommend disciplinary action.

http://www.sunspot.net/business/investing/chi-0202150009feb15.story?coll=bal-investing-headlines

On the short list

That's why Danforth holds a spot on the short list, the one with the names that governments and companies turn to when the stuff hits the fan and the "who" does the probing becomes as important as "what" they come up with.

"He's the sort of person you think about when you want to have a special investigation. There's a few people you think about like that in the country -- most of them have public experience in addition to being lawyers," says former U.S. Atty. Gen. Griffin Bell, a member of that small fraternity. "Another one is from St. Louis, Bill Webster (former director of the CIA and FBI) and another one would be (former Sen.) George Mitchell."
